Journalogy Mechanicians
These authors of journal papers are supposedly ranked, but what are the ranking criteria? For example, Kumpati S. Narendra of Yale University (Interests = Manufacturing Technology, Real-Time & Embedded Systems, Electrical & Electronic Engineering) has the following: Publications: 255 | Citations: 9978 | G-Index: 98 | H-Index: 41, yet he appears on “page” 27 (ranked between 2601st and 2700th). I don’t see him among the first 500 entries. Also, the same person may appear more than once, with different data in each of the multiple appearances. For example, Alan Needleman appears twice in the first 100 entries.
