Victor Bazhenov and Olga Krivenko, Buckling and Natural Vibrations of Thin Elastic Inhomogeneous Shells, Lambert Academic Publishing, 2018, 104 pages

A finite element approach for solving static problems of geometrically nonlinear thermoelastic deformation, buckling and postbuckling behavior of a wide class of thin elastic shells of complex shape and structure are considered. The method is based on the unifoed methodological positions of the three-dimensional thermoelasticity theory. Numerical substantiation of the reliability and accuracy of obtained linear and nonlinear solutions has been performed with the help of the LIRA and SCAD software. Some features of using the sofware for solving the problems of the nonlinear buckling of shells with stepwise-variable thickness are presented. The method and results of calculating the natural vibrations of inhomogeneous shells with allowance for the effect of static thermomechanical loading are given.
