Example of variables and their attributes created by the GENOPT user

This slide shows a rather elaborate example of a list of variables, their definitions, and the roles that they play. This table pertains to EXAMPLE 7 presented later in this slide show.

The variable names, definitions, roles, whether the variables are simple variables, vectors, or arrays are attributes that are established by the GENOPT user.

For each GENOPT system created by the GENOPT user a glossary of this type is automatically created by the GENOPT processor called "GENTEXT".

This particular rather elaborate example is from the paper:
"Use of GENOPT and BIGBOSOR4 to obtain optimum designs of an axially compressed cylindrical shell with a composite truss-core sandwich wall" by David Bushnell and Charles Rankin, AIAA 52nd Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference, 2011, AIAA Paper 2011-1811.
