EXAMPLE 1, slide 2: behavioral constraints

There are 4 behavioral constraints:

1. the maximum allowable stress shall not be exceeded.

2. The plate will not buckle under the axial compression, Nx, applied by itself or under the in-plane shear loading, Nxy, applied by itself.

3. The minimum free vibration frequency of the unloaded plate shall exceed a minimum allowable value.

4. The maximum normal displacement under the pressure loading shall not exceed an allowable value.
