Professor Mohammad Reza Eslami has been awarded an Einstein Medal by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the course of the 21st International Kharazmi Festival.

Professor Eslami is a prominent researcher of IST institute who has started his scientific activities in 1973 at Tehran Polytechnic University (the present Amir Kabir University of Technology) and became officially a professor in 1989.

Some of his honors include chairing the first conference of the Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineers at University of Tehran, being recognized as top professor by that society in 1995, honored as exemplary university professor of the county, recognized as a lasting figure, as well as senior researcher of university and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.

Dr. Eslami has been doing research at NASA space center from 1970 to 1973. He became a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2001 for his original scientific work and promotion of engineering at international level. He had become a member of the American Aerospace Institute in 1997.

Dr. Eslami has been chairing the engineering department of the Iranian Academy of Science in the past years and is currently head of the Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineers.

The name of Professor Eslami has been mentioned in more than seven international publications titled “Who’s Who” as a top international researcher.
