Summary:
Dr Vipulkumar Ishvarbhai Patel is a lecturer in Structural Engineering at La Trobe University, Bendigo Campus. Dr Patel was a Research Associate at University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He obtained his PhD degree in Structural Engineering from Victoria University in 2013 and ME degree in Mechanical Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology in 2008. His research focuses on developing numerical models for the nonlinear inelastic analysis of concrete-filled steel tubular columns and concrete-filled stainless steel tubular columns. His research also focuses on developing the finite element models for predicting the residual stress distribution in the welded 316L austenitic stainless steel plates.
