Objective versus design iterations during and execution of the PANDA2 processor called "SUPEROPT"

Design iterations during and execution of the PANDA2 processor called "SUPEROPT", which attempts to find a "global" optimum design. Each "spike" in the plot corresponds to a new "starting" design, which is generated randomly in a manner consistent with linking and inequality constraints.

The word, "global", is in quotes because PANDA2 does not find in a rigorous manner the global optimum design. It is hoped that via one or more successive executions of SUPEROPT the optimum design will have a weight close to that of the global optimum design.

In the present version of PANDA2 there is a new processor called "SUPERDUPEROPT" which automatically executes SUPEROPT several times in succession.
