Results for the specific case called “narw91updown” with 9 major segments per 50-inch width. (See Table 6 in the 2014 GENOPT paper for dimensions, margins, and objective.) This configuration is associated with the smallest weight (92.43 lb, Table 6) plotted in Fig. 46 (two slides hence) with solid square data points. (See the data point in Fig. 46 for “Number of segments spanning 50 inches” = 9.) Top left frame: Optimized profile and the critical anti-symmetric general buckling mode (BEHX32). Buckling load factor=1.4978 (n=6). Top right frame: Optimized profile and the critical symmetric general buckling mode (BEHX2). Buckling load factor=1.4980 (n=1).
