This is Fig. 26 of the 1997 modejump paper. This slide shows a comparison of predictions from STAGS and PANDA2 for the panel previously optimized by PANDA2 with the mode-jumping constraint condition turned off (mode jumping permitted) in the PANDA2 model (called "PANEL I" in the 1997 modejump paper).
STAGS predicts that the panel collapses at the load factor, PA = 0.943. PANDA2 predicts failure of the panel at PA = 1.0.
