"03.09.10 gFT successfully organised the first Engineered Skins 2010 research symposium on 3 September 2010, at the University of Cambridge. It was the first conference hosted by the group since it was first established. Every member of the group presented their latest research, and keynote presentations were made by Mr. Johann Schiska from Waagner Biro and Mr. Niccolo Baldassini from RFR. 46 external industrial and academic partners from across Europe attended the event, and participated in lively discussions after every presentation. The symposium provided an excellent opportunity for the group to showcase the on-going research and for the research students to interact with external partners and obtain valuable presentation experience. The event was supported by Roberts Money Funding made available through the Department of Engineering."
