Biography:
PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Christian Mittelstedt, born in 1972, studied civil engineering at the University of Wuppertal, where he graduated in 1999 as Dipl.-Ing. graduated. In 2005 he was at the University of Siegen with a dissertation on stress concentration problems in composite laminates to Dr.-Ing. PhD. Since 2006 he has been active in the German aviation industry as a research engineer and since 2011 as technical director in the area of structural analysis. He habilitated in 2012 with a thesis on the stability of thin-walled composite fiber components in lightweight structures and has authored and co-authored more than 100 scientific papers that were published in international journals, conference proceedings, but also officially recognized calculation manuals. He holds a lecturer regularly lectures on various fields of applied structural mechanics, is co-editor of the journal 'Composite Structures', a regular reviewer for over 20 international journals, co-organizer of international conferences, and an active member of several industry committees of with the creation calculation manuals in the aerospace deal.
