Continuum mechanics. Micromechanics. Structural mechanics. Structural stability. Asymptotic theories for deformation and stability of thin walled structures. Manufacturing process modeling, Numerical methods (f.e.m.), Geomechanics. Magneto-Electro-Mechanical coupling problems in solids. Multi-scale problems and related stability issues in solid mechanics.

Current Research:
Stability and failure problems in composites and cellular materials.
 Finite strain deformations of metals and related stability problems in manufacturing. Electromagnetic forming and related instability and failure problems.
 Atomistic simulations of instabilities in Shape Memory Alloys. Cellular SMA structures. Finite strain magnetoelastic response of specialty elastomers.
