This is Fig. 28 from the 2002 stagsunit paper. This slide shows the extreme fiber axial strain in one of the finite elements (finite element number 2528) in the STAGS model.
Load factor, PA = 1.0 corresponds to the "design load", that is, the load for which the shell was previously optimized by PANDA2.
These results are from the nonlinear static STAGS analysis of the same PANDA2-optimized blade-stiffened cylindrical shell as that shown in the previous slide.
