This is Fig. 8b from the 2002 isogrid paper. This slide shows design margins obtained during an execution of PANDA2 in a "design sensitivity" mode (INDIC = 3) for the optimized, hydrostatically compressed, perfect, internally isogrid-stiffened cylindrical shell with added internal T-shaped rings.
In the "design sensitivity mode" the PANDA2 user chooses one of the decision variables (in this case the spacing of the isogrid stiffeners, B(ISO)) and a range over which that chosen decision variable is to vary.
PANDA2 then computes design margins for the user-selected range of the selected decision variable.
The value of B(ISO) at the optimum design of the perfect shell is 1.91 inch in this example.
