Tee-stiffened flat panel subjected to combined in-plane loads and normal pressure

This is Fig. 4 from the paper, "Optimization of a tee-stiffened panel under axial compression, in-plane shear, and normal pressure", by David Bushnell, AIAA 32nd Structures, Structural Dynamics and Materials Conference, AIAA Paper 91-1207-CP, 1991, called "1991 teestiffened paper" in some other slides.

This slide shows panel geometry; material properties; loading; two locations, "a" and "b", where buckling and stress analyses are performed for each load set; and decision variables for optimization.

This slide is introduced here in order to emphasize that for each load set PANDA2 optimizes for two conditions:

1. the condition at the midlength of the panel, or if there exist rings (transverse stiffeners) midway between rings (conditions at the location "a", called "Subcase 1 in the PANDA2 output) and

2. the condition at one end of the panel, or if there exist rings at a ring station (conditions at the location "b", called "Subcase 2" in the PANDA2 output).
