A finite element model of a complexly corrugated cylindrical shell under axial compression previously optimzed by GENOPT/BIGBOSOR4

This is part of Fig. 51 of the 2014 GENOPT paper presented at the 55th AIAA Structures Conference in January 2014. The entire corrugated panel is generated by reflection of the left-most 25-inch-wide segment and subsequent repetition of 50-inch-wide similar sections. The next slide shows the critical buckling mode of this shell predicted by the computer program, STAGS.
