This is part of Fig. 51 of the 2014 GENOPT paper presented at the 55th AIAA Structures Conference in January 2014. This slide shows the critical buckling mode of this shell predicted by the computer program, STAGS. The STAGS prediction agrees very well with that from GENOPT/BIGBOSOR4.
