This is Fig. xx from the supplemental file, 2011.trusscomp.sup. This slide shows a STAGS model of local buckling of the axially compressed composite truss-core sandwich cylindrical shell.

This STAGS model contains three modules of the type displayed in the previous slide.

There is good agreement for the GENOPT-optimized structure between the prediction by GENOPT/BIGBOSOR4 (eigenvalue = buckling load factor = 2.46) and the prediction by STAGS (eigenvalue = 2.54).
