This is Fig. 4 from the paper, "Optimum design of composite stiffened panels under combined loading", by D. Bushnell and W. D. Bushnell, Computers & Structures, Vol.55, No. 5, pp. 819-856, 1995, called "1995 p2stags paper" in some of the following slides because there is a comparison between predictions from PANDA2 (p2) and STAGS.
This slide shows the evolution of the objective (weight in lb) for the eight PANDA2 optimization runs (8 executions of the PANDA2 processor called “PANDAOPT”) required for the determination of a local optimum design. At the time the results presented here were published the PANDA2 processors called “SUPEROPT” and "SUPERDUPEROPT" did not yet exist.
