This is Fig. 2 from the 1987 PANDA paper. This slide shows coordinates, loading, and laminated composite wall construction with various layup angles and layer thicknesses that can be decision variables in the optimization process.
Of course, panels made of simple isotropic material can also be optimized with PANDA2, and many of the applications of PANDA2 displayed in these three slide shows are for such panels.
