Displayed here is the linear bifurcation buckling mode predicted by STAGS for an optimized internal-T-ring and external-T-stringer stiffened, angle-ply, composite cylindrical shell under combined axial compression Nx = -700 lb/in and in-plane shear Nxy = +40 lb/in. The T-stiffened cylindrical shell was previously optimized by PANDA2.
