Displayed here is the nonlinear collapse mode predicted by STAGS for the same internal-T-ring and external-T-stringer stiffened, angle-ply, composite cylindrical shell as that shown in the previous slide.
The optimized cylindrical shell has an imperfection in the shape of the linear bifurcation buckling mode shown in the previous slide.
