This is Table 2 from the 2007 Bushnell paper. This slide lists definitions of variables used in the PANDA2 examples in this paper. These variable names appear in the next slide. Most of these variables were chosen by the PANDA2 user (Bushnell) as decision variables for the optimization performed by PANDA2.
The optimizer used in PANDA2 was written many years ago by Garrett Vanderplaats. This gradient-based optimizer, called "ADS", is "hard-wired" in the mode called "modifed method of steepest descent".
