Failure modes in sandwich walls corresponding to which design margins are computed by PANDA2

This slide is from the 2005 substiff paper. PANDA2 calculates design margins corresponding to these types of failure in its section pertaining to panels and shells with sandwich wall construction.

The next slide shows an example of some of these margins that pertain to an unstiffened, imperfect sandwich plate with mechanical and thermal loading.
